Gerald "Rocky" DiPetrillo

10/31/1962 - 09/22/2014

Gerald "Rocky" DiPetrillo was born October 31st, 1962 in Denver, Colorado and was called Home on September 22, 2014. During his short time with us, he undoubtedly touched us all in one way or another. Whether it was his laugh or smile or his willingness to engage in friendly debate, Rocky brightened every room he was in and made us all thankful for his friendship. He had a unique ability to connect with everyone he met. And even though his family was his first priority, he made everyone feel at home and at ease in his presence. Rocky made friends all over the world and was known as both the entertainer and planner of friends and family events. From holiday gatherings, tailgating at the Bronco games and even staging pranks on the steps of the Colorado state capitol building, Rocky leaves us with memories we will all cherish and hold close forever. He only knew one way to live and that was large.

Rocky was also a passionate sports fan. His favorite teams include the CSU Rams, NY Yankees, and of course his beloved Broncos.

Rocky's early years included Assumption and graduated from Holy Family. He continued his education at Colorado State University and earned a communication degree in 1985. He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Rocky married Debbie on April 1st, 1989 and together they have three children, Gerald (19), Rachel (14) and Sylvia (11). Rocky worked in the wire and cable industry and finished his career with Alpha Wire as the Global Sales Director.

Rocky belonged to many organizations including the Knights of Columbus and was a huge volunteer at Nativity of Lord. He was always the first to raise his hand and lend his help where needed.

Rocky will be greatly missed here but he will live forever in our hearts.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a memorial fund set up to help offset costs for the funeral and the children's education.
